Bannister GM is proud to be a part of the Edson area. Our team is focused on serving the customer with the best service possible. In 2017 we were honoured to receive two Edson & District Chamber of Commerce Awards – Large Business of the Year and the Service Superstar Award! We are an AMVIC Licensed Dealer.

We are the only full service dealership in the Yellowhead County region with Sales, Service, Parts, Quick Lube, Detailing Shop and Body Shop. Bannister GM Edson employs 35 people and supports dozens of community events and non-profits throughout the year.

Our employees volunteer with organizations such as Edson Minor Hockey, Edson Citizens on Patrol and the Edson Custom Cruisers. Every year, Bannister GM donates tens of thousands of dollars to organizations in the Edson area including local schools and the Edson Food Bank. Very happy with our new to us truck. Only thing was seats should have been deep cleaned as can still smell previous owner smoker in truck. Riley was very good sales man.

We bought our 2021 gmc 2500 denali from owen at the edson gm dealership which is part of the bannister group. Owen was an awesome salesman to deal with,never pushy and if we had questions he would make sure we got answers. Then when we went to finalize the deal Jason was extremely helpful more then any other finance guy I have ever dealt with buying vehicles ever. He was not only helpful in making decisions but also encouraged us to ask the hard questions with factual infomation so that we could make the informed decision. Great service department! I had some work done at Don Wheaton Chevrolet in Edmonton, less than a month later I broke down in Edson. Bannister service department verified it was a failure of previous work done by Don Wheaton. They did all repairs under warranty & let me use a loaner suv while I waited for repairs.Great service department they kept me updated & did the work quickly accommodating my schedule.

I have to give credit to Owen who was my sales representative. I ordered a truck to get exactly what I wanted. It took a little longer than we had hoped to come in through NO fault of theirs. However, Owen kept me updated every single step of the way. He replied to my every call, text and email without any hesitation for months on end, and there were a lot. Banister was also very good at honouring our deal on trade and purchase price even after 6 months of time. This was a hand shake deal and this is how they do business. That is not the most common thing in today’s world, and why I would highly recommend them.

I recently bought a 3500 AT4 from this dealer. They provided excellent service and a were a pleasure to deal with. They gave me an excellent trade in value and their prices for the new truck were competitive. A special thanks for Owen. He’s a top notch sales guy and easy to work with. I needed to get the truck quickly so he personally drove it down at short notice. He also checked in to see how we are enjoying the truck. He’s a genuine guy, which can be rare in the car dealership world.

Took our vehicle for an electrical repair. It wasn’t fixed quickly, but it was a complex datalink problem that we were told upfront might take some time to pinpoint. We were treated extremely well and our bill for the repair was a lot less than we had originally expected. I will be using them again.

What can I say about bannister GM?? They were very accommodating in scheduling my service. This particular service had to do with an airbag recall on my vehicle. They were proactive in reaching out to me to look after this issue. They were flexible in scheduling and allowing me to drop off the vehicle at my convenience. The service was completed very promptly and all of the staff had great attitudes and we’re very kind. Picked up a new GMC Sierra Elevation at the end of May. Overall the service was good. The online ad was a little miss leading and wasn't spec exactly like the truck on location, but wasn't disappointed with what was provided and very happy with my purchase. This also wasn't hidden by the dealership that the online ads can vary slightly based on options and that the ads go up prior to receiving the trucks at the dealership when I asked the question. If I asked the question, Steven had a reasonable answer.Traded a 2017 Canyon with this purchase, the trade-in value was fair for the mileage, and Jason with finance was very friendly, upfront and answered all my questions to my satisfaction!

Drove right in to the quick lube without waiting. They serviced and did the inspection and was on my way. Thanks for the fast, efficient and friendly service.

Edson Food Bank Society

The team from Bannister GM loaded and unloaded 2544lbs of food that was donated by the Edson Friendship Centre to the Edson Food Bank Society. The food was a part of a large donation from Amazon to the Edson Friendship Centre. The Bannister Automotive Group has a partnership with the Edson Food Bank to assist with transportation and manpower when required.

Wildfire Assistance

Bannister GM was happy to be able to provide water to firefighters that were battling wildfires in the Shiningbank area of Yellowhead County.

Town of Edson Fleet Vehicles

After an arson destroyed all 3 corporate fleet vehicles at the Town of Edson, Bannister GM provided a vehicle to the Town free of charge. This allowed Community Development programs to continue. General Manager Pete Jewer presents the keys to Chief Administrative Officer Christine Beveridge.

Edson Animal Rescue Society

We are happy to help support the Edson Animal Rescue Society throughout the year by hosting events at the dealership. We also made a sizable donation of dog food and Diana’s Pets & Trophies were happy to help us out by giving a discount to help support the cause.
